‘Smiths Paddock’ is the latest UrbanGrowth residential subdivision located in the heart of North Penrith. Our scope of works was centred on the public domain / community facilities including the village green and the central hub associated with the cricketer’s pavilion / sales office. Included in our scope of works was the construction of two waterfeatures; one as the focal point of the pavilions forecourt and the other to the playground area. The main waterfeature consists of 4 ‘ponds’ which vary in size and shape, and constructed with insitu reinforced concrete and faced with black granite. 100 water stream jets operate off an independent pump system which allow control of discharge flow and jet stream height. The scope of works included a 65 000 litre underground insitu concrete holding tank together with the all pipework, pumps, filters and computer control systems. All of the hydraulic works were undertaken by our in-house water team as was the system’s design development.
