At the time of construction Centre Court was the largest, single tenant, campus style workplace in the Southern Hemisphere and the new headquarters of Optus. The site consists of six office buildings surrounded by extensive landscape zones centred on two large water bodies as the developments focal point. The ponds are constructed with an insitu concrete shell and precast concrete coping units. The waterfeature structure works were undertaken as a design & construct component of our contract whereas the hydraulic scope was undertaken by the main contractor. The planting areas are raised to a maximum depth of 300 mm and consist of a soil mix suitable for aquatic plants and use underwater. Centre Court was awarded a 2008 NSW / ACT Excellence in Landscape Construction Award for commercial projects.
